Planning Highlights
Know Which Ticket And Pass Fit A One Park Visit
These are the five things that shape a Universal Studios Hollywood visit, and where most of the ticket questions come from.
-
01
One theme park with the added bonus of the Studio Tour, a working backlot experience you won't find at the Orlando parks
-
02
CityWalk Hollywood for dining and shopping outside the park
-
03
Express Pass and VIP tour options that can save significant time in line, worth weighing based on the season and crowd levels
-
04
A shorter visit that typically works well as a single day rather than a multi day park ticket but if you are looking for a slower pace or to spend most of the day in Super Nintendo World, a two day ticket might be best.
-
05
Easy to combine with other Los Angeles or Southern California plans since it isn't a multi day resort commitment like Orlando

Why Plan With Stacy
Stacy helps you figure out whether a single day ticket or an Express Pass upgrade makes more sense for your trip, so you’re not overpaying for time saving options you don’t actually need for a one park visit. She takes the guesswork out of a shorter trip that still has plenty of ticket and pass decisions to make.
Working with Stacy means:
- Free vacation planning with no added fees
- A personal advocate handling your reservation from start to finish, making sure you have the right ticket and pass combination for your visit
- Planning calls along the way so you get real recommendations built for your trip, not a cookie cutter package
- Support during your trip if anything comes up
After you book:
Booking is just the start. Stacy stays with you through the planning process, helping you decide if an Express Pass is worth adding, timing your visit around park hours and crowd levels, and answering any questions that come up before your trip. If anything comes up before or during your visit, you have a real person to reach out to, not a call center.

Does it cost more to book Universal Studios Hollywood through a travel advisor?
No. Stacy’s planning service is free, with no added fees, and you are not paying extra for her help with tickets, passes, and timing.
What you get on top of that is a personal advocate who handles your reservation from start to finish and makes sure you have the right ticket and pass combination for your visit.
How many days do we need at Universal Studios Hollywood?
Most visits work well as a single day, since Universal Studios Hollywood is one theme park plus the Studio Tour.
If you want a slower pace, or you plan to spend most of a day in SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, a two day ticket might be the better fit. Stacy will help you decide which one makes sense for your group.
How is Universal Studios Hollywood different from Universal Orlando?
Universal Studios Hollywood is one theme park with a working movie studio, and the Studio Tour takes you through a real backlot you won’t find at the Orlando parks. It fits into a day or two and pairs easily with a broader Los Angeles trip.
Universal Orlando is a multi day resort with three theme parks, a water park, and CityWalk. See our Universal Orlando travel agent page if you are weighing both.
Do we need an Express Pass or the VIP Experience?
Not always. Express Pass and VIP tour options can save significant time in line, and they are worth weighing based on the season and crowd levels. On a slower day you may not need either.
The VIP Experience is a guided day with front of line access and backlot areas the regular Studio Tour does not visit. Stacy will tell you whether an upgrade is worth it for your dates, so you are not paying for time saving options you don’t need.
Is SUPER NINTENDO WORLD included with park admission?
Yes. SUPER NINTENDO WORLD is part of Universal Studios Hollywood and is included with park admission. It is home to Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge and interactive areas throughout the land.
On busy days the land can get crowded, so Stacy can help you plan when to visit, or whether a two day ticket makes more sense if Super Nintendo is the main reason for your trip.
Can we combine Universal Studios Hollywood with Disneyland?
Yes. Because Universal Studios Hollywood isn’t a multi day resort commitment like Orlando, it is easy to add to a broader Southern California trip, including a few days at Disneyland.
Stacy can plan both so your tickets and park days line up. See our Disneyland travel agent page to plan the Disney side.
Where should we stay for Universal Studios Hollywood?
Universal Studios Hollywood does not have a group of on site Universal resort hotels the way Orlando does, so most families stay at a nearby hotel in Universal City or elsewhere in Los Angeles.
Stacy can compare options based on the rest of your Southern California plans, so your hotel works for park day and everything else on your trip.
