No, Aulani is a luxury Disney Resort & Spa, not a theme park. As we like to tell our travelers: “No rides. No parks. Just Hawaii, done the Disney way.” It is designed for travelers looking for a relaxing, authentic Hawaiian experience perfectly blended with familiar Disney magic and world-class hospitality.
5 to 7 nights is the sweet spot. That gives you unhurried pool and beach days plus a couple of excursions without racing. Shorter stays work, but most families wish they had another day or two.
Yes. Mickey, Minnie, and friends appear around the resort in Hawaiian inspired outfits, and there is a character breakfast at Makahiki. It is a lighter touch than the parks, which is exactly why many families like it.
9 to 12 months out for summer, spring break, and the holidays. The most popular room categories go first, and booking early gives you the best shot at the character breakfast and the luau. Stacy can hold your reservation while you decide and apply promotional rates if they come out later.
Standard rooms work well for shorter stays and smaller families. Villas add a kitchen or kitchenette, in room laundry, and more space, which matters on a longer trip or with a bigger group. View category is where much of the price difference lives, so that is worth talking through before you book instead of guessing.
