Meet the Team

Philly native Kevin D. Smith is a technically skilled people person and a valuable new asset to the team at Light Travels Inc. He's currently based in Milo, Maine, where he relocated to be closer to his daughter.

Now a valued Travel Advisor known for his prompt and courteous nature, he uses an organized, service-oriented approach to resolve even the most difficult situations. He finds deep satisfaction in helping people help themselves.

Both a planner and an adventurer at heart, Kevin studied at Devry University before being drawn to a career in retail sales. For the next three decades, he enjoyed a successful retail career, acquiring problem-solving and communication skills through a blend of sales and customer service roles.

Kevin joined the team of talented travel experts at Light Travels Inc, bringing a wealth of experience to the table from his previous work with Cruise Brothers and the host of certifications he's acquired working with all major cruise lines. He cheerfully and expertly assists clients on a daily basis, always ensuring the utmost satisfaction for everyone involved. "It's exciting to visit different places and be exposed to new things," he says. "That's part of what drew me to this work. The other part is the joy and fulfillment that comes along with the job: I get to help clients see their plans come to life."

In his spare time, Kevin is an avid cruiser, outdoorsman and active NASCAR fan.

Chrissy Ducharme is a sharp, fast-paced worker and proactive problem-solver known for her genuine ability to connect with people. As the Agent Support Specialist for the expert agents at Light Travels Inc, she supports the travel team with arrangements, documentation, and compliance, helping to ensure that all trips run smoothly. She's driven by the desire to help people live their best lives. Born and raised in Rhode Island, Chrissy served in the restaurant industry for seventeen years before changing gears to become a licensed master esthetician.

She found fulfillment in helping people look and feel great in their own skin, and continued to work as an esthetician for the next ten years. Along the way, she relocated to Connecticut and started a family. She also bought and began renovating a fixer-upper, eventually deciding to take time off to raise her two children at home.

Drawn to the flexibility of her role at Light Travels, as well as the supportive culture of the family-owned business, Chrissy shares a deep passion for travel with the rest of the team. Her duties include maintaining electronic databases, processing credit card payments, and checking in with clients before and after trips, all tasks which rely on her honesty, efficiency and keen attention to detail. When she's not working to support the Light Travels team, Chrissy loves cooking, traveling, and spending quality time with her family.

Adam Nielsen is an accomplished military veteran, a steady, supportive leader, a devoted husband and father, and an expert at managing travel to diverse destinations around the world. He's been a Travel Agent at Light Travels Inc since January of 2020, where he handles a wide range of administrative details and client travel data under company co-founder, Joslynne Light. He believes in getting his hands dirty, diving into a project with passion and a clear vision.

With years of military experience planning and overseeing travel for large groups of soldiers en route to training and deployment, he's developed a meticulous approach to tracking the many details involved in travel. Raised on a six-acre ranch with five other siblings, Adam worked in restaurants throughout high school before joining the army, where he served as an infantryman with the 10th Mountain Division in Fort Drum and was deployed to Afghanistan from 2005-2007.

The following year he joined the Active Guard Reserve, handling administrative requirements and coordinating large-scale training events. Adam graduated with honors and a B.S. in Health Science from Husson University and was promoted into the Maine Army National Guard Training program next. With the Maine Army National Guard Readiness NCO, Adam supervised a full-time staff of soldiers, then moved on to a position with the Maine Army National Guard Assistant Operations NCO, where he facilitated training, applications, and schedules for a battalion of approximately 400 people.

He was then promoted to the Maine Army National Guard Assistant Operations NCO: managing resources, training, security, ammunition, and environmental programs, including a fleet of vehicles. In 2021, with the rank of Master Sergeant, Adam joined the Maine Army National Guard Operations NCO.

Stacy Peios is a wife, mother of two, dog lover and a travel planner known for her honest guidance, real-life experience, and ability to take the stress out of planning.

She specializes in Disney, Universal, cruises, all-inclusive vacations, and quick getaways for Central NY travelers. Her "vacation matchmaker" approach focuses on finding the perfect destination based on each client's needs, never a one-size-fits-all package.

Over time, Stacy saw how overwhelming and confusing trip planning had become for most travelers. That's when she stepped into the role of a true vacation matchmaker, someone who cuts through the noise, listens with intention, and narrows the choices to create a trip that aligns with each client's personality, budget, and travel style. She believes no two vacations ever look the same, and she works one-on-one with every client to find the right destination, resort, and budget.

Stacy offers free one-on-one planning, full support before and after booking, and personalized recommendations that help travelers move with confidence. After years of visiting theme parks, staying in dozens of resorts, and planning trips for families of all ages, she understands the details that make vacations truly feel magical.

When she's not helping clients book their next adventure, you'll find her exploring theme parks, testing out new resorts, traveling with her family, or discovering new destinations to better serve her clients, always learning, always refining, and always searching for the next perfect match.

Samantha Murphy is a Travel Advisor who believes travel should feel exciting from the very first conversation. She specializes in thoughtfully planned European journeys and elevated all inclusive escapes, helping her clients experience the world with confidence and ease.

Her background in leadership and event planning laid the foundation for the way she approaches travel today. Before entering the industry, Samantha led and organized the fundraising and events department for an organization dedicated to providing scholarships to military children. Coordinating large-scale events and managing meaningful initiatives required precision, organization, and clear communication, strengths she now brings to every itinerary she designs.

As a wife and mom of two, Samantha understands how important intentional time away can be. She knows that when the details are handled well, families and couples are free to be fully present in the experience. That perspective shapes the care and thoughtfulness behind each recommendation she makes.

Outside of work, Samantha enjoys creative projects, organizing spaces, and diving into research, passions that translate naturally into crafting seamless, well-paced travel experiences. She finds just as much joy in planning the journey as her clients do in taking it.

While Europe and all inclusive travel are her specialties, she works with clients on a wide range of destinations and experiences. Her priority is always the same: proactive communication, intentional planning, and travel that feels smooth from departure to return.
