The Hard Part
5 Disney Vacations, And No Obvious Way To Choose
Most families arrive here after a few evenings of open tabs and advice that contradicts itself. The trip is expensive, the days off are not coming back, and every option looks reasonable until you try to pick one.
- 4 parks in Florida, 2 in California, 9 cruise ships, a Hawaii resort, and guided trips on 4 continents.
- Booking windows that open months apart, and a few that quietly close before you knew they existed.
- Resort tiers and stateroom categories that look similar on a website and are not similar in person.
- The feeling that you are about to spend a lot of money on the wrong version of this trip.
What Does A Disney Travel Agent Do?
A Disney travel agent plans and books your vacation at no extra cost to you.
Stacy Peios compares destinations, prices resorts and sailings, holds your reservation, applies promotions when Disney releases them, helps with dining and park reservations, and stays reachable before and during your trip. You pay the same rate you would pay booking direct.
Meet Your Advisor – Stacy
You Should Not Have To Figure This Out Alone
Nobody takes enough Disney trips to get good at planning them. Stacy plans them every week.
She has heard every version of this. The family that booked the wrong ship for the ages their kids actually are. The couple who spent a week in the parks when what they wanted was a beach. The parents who found out about a dining window three days after it closed. None of that is carelessness, it is just what happens when you plan something this big once every few years.
Stacy is a Disney certified travel advisor working with Light Travels Inc in Saco, Maine. She has been on 8 Disney Cruises and Walt Disney World a hand full of time too with her children. She has planned trips across every destination on this page. She can speak to what these vacations are like at any stage of family life.
Walt Disney World Vacation Planning
Pick this if it is your first big Disney trip and you want the most to choose from.
Walt Disney World sits outside Orlando and holds four theme parks, Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom, plus two water parks and more than twenty five resort hotels. It is the largest of the five, and the one where your resort tier and park order change the trip the most.

Disney Cruise Line Vacation Planning
Pick this if you want the planning to stop once you are on board.
A Disney cruise puts meals, entertainment and kids clubs inside the fare, so the daily planning mostly disappears. Rotational dining moves you to a different restaurant each night with the same serving team, and most itineraries stop at Castaway Cay in the Bahamas or Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. Stacy has sailed 7 of the ships herself.

Disneyland Resort Vacation Planning
Pick this if you have a long weekend rather than a full week.
Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA holds two theme parks, Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure, facing each other across a shared esplanade. Add Downtown Disney and three hotels and the whole resort is walkable end to end in about fifteen minutes, which is why it works as a long weekend when Florida does not.

Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa In Hawaii
Pick this if what you actually want is a beach, not a park.
No rides. No parks. Just Hawaii, done the Disney way. Aulani is one oceanfront resort on the Ko Olina coast of Oahu, about forty minutes from Honolulu, built around a pool valley, a private snorkeling lagoon, a beach and a spa. Characters appear, but nothing here has a line to stand in.

Adventures By Disney And National Geographic Expeditions
Pick this if you want to see the world without planning any of it.
Adventures by Disney are guided group trips with two adventure guides handling everything from the moment you land. Transfers, most meals and activities are arranged, with itineraries from Iceland and Ireland to Costa Rica and Japan. National Geographic Expeditions sit alongside them for wildlife and culture focused travel.
